Please note that today, February the 4th, Greece’s largest private and public sector unions hold a general strike to protest against the government’s planned pension reforms. It is said to be one of the biggest strikes in the country!
Among other, this 24 hour strike affects ie. Lawyers, notaries, banks, hospitals (public), post offices, courthouses, municipality, prefecture, tax offices, public schools, state hospital doctors, Citizens’ Information Centre (KEP), pharmacists, public transportation, archaeological sites and museums, etc.
All assignees are advised:
  1. A) to limit their moves, because of heavy traffic and demonstrations that take place and
  1. B) avoid all transactions with public authorities
