Dear friends,
In the past few days, you have noticed everyone in Greece is talking about the 2021 Populations and Housing Census*. It is in the news, in our everyday talks, there is also a debate amongst the population whether one should participate or not.
We have checked with the Hellenic Statistical Authority who should participate in the Census:
It concerns all (of any nationality) residents in Greece that are staying from October 2021 onwards and for the period of one year. You will be receiving an envelope outside your home and you will need to enter your taxis home page and insert the code you will find within the envelope.
*The 2021 Population and Housing Census (Greek: Απογραφή Πληθυσμού–Kατοικιών 2021) is a planned census in Greece to be conducted by the Hellenic Statistical Authority as part of the wider 2021 European Union census. As with the 2011 census, it will enumerate the number of people in the country, survey the demographic, economic, and social characteristics of the population, as well as ascertain the types of building stock available in the country. The census will comply with both European Union and United Nations census guidelines. The full set of results will be available by 31 March 2024.
