One of the first things one needs when entering Greece and has the intention to stay on a long term basis, is the issuance of a Tax Registration Number (known as TIN). From December 1, 2023, the Independent Public Revenue Authority has proceeding with the operation of two new digital applications that upgrade the service and make it easier for the citizen:
– TIN and Key Number application, for the simultaneous issuance of TIN and Key Number to natural persons,
– Key Number Application, for issuing a Key to natural and non-natural persons who already have a VAT number and want to register/re-register in the digital services of AADE.
From now on all applications are submitted exclusively digitally, by submitting the relevant request to the TIN & Key application of the digital portal myAADE. Paper applications submitted directly to the DOU or applications through the application “My Applications” will no longer be served. The already digital registration process in the digital services of AADE is being upgraded and modernized (key version).
