Further to our last alert on the changes of stamp duties in Greece, the government proceeded with further changes on two categories where the stamp duty was increased. This took place apparently because of conflict with our EU partners.
Stamp duty is decreased to the sum of euro 150 for the following two categories:
-independent economic activity (article 20 Law 4251/2014). Previous stamp duty was euro 1,000.
-permit of 3 years validity for dependent children reaching 21 years of age (article 76 Law 4251/2014). Previous stamp duty was euro 450.
Changes were published in the government gazette 6051-31/12/2018.
