In an effort to assist you and your family to make the most of your stay in Greece, we are publishing the below information, which concerns a way of saving costs from your electricity bills issued by the Public Power Corporation (in Greek called DEI, ΔΕΗ).
Most properties can enjoy up to 50% discount in their electricity consumptions in Athens.
The discounted fee is offered off-peak hours during summer and winter. More specifically:

Winter: November the 1st to April the 31st: 15:30 to 17:30 and 02:00 to 08:00

Summer: May the 1st to October the 31st: 23:00 to 07:00
What do I need to do?
It’s easy. You just need to find out if your property is offered such a discount (depends on construction). In case it does, then the electricity reduction takes place automatically by Public Power Corporation if you consume electricity power the specific timings mentioned above.
How do I find out if my home is offered the discount?
In order to find out if the above discount is applied to your property, please forward your bill to us and we will let you know.
