GREECE: Latest Brexit Updates

Greek Government announces (Government Gazette B4610/2020) favorable treatment of British nationals who are already in Greece and what steps and documents are required to be compliant with immigration law.

British nationals already in Greece-permit proven 5 years 

British nationals and their British family members who reside in Greece and have proven registered permanent residence of 5-years can apply as of January 1^st 2021 their application to obtain a 10-year residence permit.

British nationals already in Greece 

British nationals and their British family members who reside in Greece but do not have a proven permanent residence can apply as of January 1^st 2021 their application to obtain a 5-year residence permit provided that there is efficient evidence of their stay before this date.

British nationals’ family members

Non-EU family members of British nationals can apply to obtain a permit as family member and will follow the procedures described for Non-EU.

Applications

Applications will be lodged with the competent Foreigners Police Department commencing January 1^st 2021 until latest June 30^th 2021 and will include biometric data collection.

Updates for British nationals arriving after January 1^st 2021 are expected shortly.
