Prime Minister announced the upcoming amendment of the legislation concerning the Golden Visa.
Greek government aims to implement the new law shortly. Changes are expected to focus on the property’s value; value to increase from current euro 250,000 to euro 500,000.
The main purpose for this change is the increase of the real estate’s availability towards Greek citizens. Nonetheless, it will certainly affect future foreign investors who were planning to proceed with a real estate purchase in Greece and consequently, with obtaining the Golden Visa.
As a reminder, advantages granted of a golden visa holder are namely
-Travel to Schengen Zone for 90 days within the period of 180 days
-5 years permit validity
-Eligibility for renewal
-Dependents: allowed
