We have some news to share regarding the submission of third country national application for permits.Proof of submission-change in procedure
As of 21/09/2023, a decision of the Minister of Migration and Asylum was published in the Government Gazette stated that, after the electronic filing of documents for long-term residence permits for third-country nationals at the Ministry, the following will come into force:
i) A proof of submission is sent to the email registered after the completion of the filing, which includes all the data and documents registered in the initial residence permit application.
ii) Within forty days, a document is sent electronically to the applicant, which serves as and constitutes its confirmation (“Certificate Receipt”).
This means that we will receive proof of submission at the time of submission and a certificate within the above period (40 days).
Until 20/09/2023, the two above documents were sent simultaneously. However, because it was observed that applications were being filed for the purpose of obtaining the certificate, the simultaneous issuance of the proof of submission and the certificate was discontinued.
