Non-EU Intra- Company Transfer: Initial application & Mobility within the EU
Following our alert on the Publication of the Internal Ministerial Circular for the Non-EU Intra- Company Transfer, here below please find general information on the main two categories that ICT permit in Greece can take place:
1. ICT Initial permit
Description: NON-EU nationals employed by a company established in a NON-EU country transferred within the same group of companies within the EU as senior employees, specialists or trainees.
Country of application: The application for an intra-corporate transfer is submitted in Greece when the first stay in Greece is the longest overall stay during the transfer.
Competent Authority: Greek Consulate (depending on transferee’s address) & Greek Ministry of Migration.
Procedure:
-preparation of personal and corporate documents
-visa application at the competent Greek Consulate
-visa issuance and entrance in Greece
-submission of file at the Greek Ministry of Migration and biometric data taking; issuance of blue receipt
-issuance of ICT permit

 

2. ICT mobility 
Description: NON-EU nationals’ holders a valid ICT permit issued in another member state and employed by a company established in a NON-EU country transferred within the same group of companies within the EU as senior employees, specialists or trainees.
-Short term mobility: up to 90 days
-Long term mobility: more than 90 days and until the expiration of the ICT permit
Timing of notification:
-The notification for mobility intra-corporate transfer is submitted at the first member state of application of the ICT permit (if mobility is predicted then) or
-During the ICT transfer when the need of mobility arises before entrance in Greece, but at least 20 days prior to the estimated mobility commencement date in Greece.
Competent Authority: Greek Ministry of Migration.
Procedure: Notification at the Greek Ministry of Migration.
